The World Conference on Carbon 2028 will welcome the international carbon community to Porto, Portugal, for a week of scientific exchange, collaboration, and discovery.

Following the conference editions in North America (United States, 2026) and Asia (South Korea, 2027), the World Conference on Carbon will return to Europe in 2028. We are delighted to host researchers, students, and industry professionals from around the world in Porto, a city renowned for its rich heritage, vibrant culture, and spirit of innovation.

Organised by the Portuguese Carbon Group of the Portuguese Chemical Society (SPQ), on behalf of the European Carbon Association (ECA), Carbon 2028 will provide an exceptional setting for sharing ideas, fostering collaborations in carbon-related research and innovation.
